Mr DUNIA KATEMBO Colomba
Founder & Executive Director
Mr Dunia Katembo Colomba founded the organisation PEREX-CV, which later became VIGLOJ Asbl . From 2006 to 2009,he worked as a Liaison Officer for USAID / DAI in the North Eastern part of Kivu province. Dunia has specialisation in humanitiarian affairs and resource mobilisation.When he moved to Butembo to work for that USAID-funded project , he was in charge of socio-economic reintegration of demobilized youth in the area. He was also the USAID focal point in Butembo city. From 2003 - 2005, he worked with the Mission des Nations Unies pour la Stabilisation du Congo (MONUSCO) to facilitate the reintegration process of Mai Mai rebels who were active in the north-eastern part of the Butembo city ; more than 1,500 rebels returned to normal life and others joined the Congolese National Army. Dunia has gained a wide range of practical skills from several trainings and international conferences on peace and capacity building, behavior and mentality change, leadership among others;most of them were mainly held in Holland and South Africa.Dunia lives in Butembo with his happy family.
Mr KAMBALE LUSENGE HENRI
Human Rights Education Facilitator
Mr Kambale Lusenge Henri has been a teacher and championed several initiatives to get rid of ignorance among young people .He studied Development and Management at EDAC-CEPROMAD.Throuhg his hard work and tenacity ,a lot of young people have acknowldged to change their mindset in favor of ideals entailed in the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.In addition ,he is also supporting Youth Association for Mutual Aid and Development :Through his leadership, the association has consolidated mutual assistance to address community’s primary needs. Kambale supports different youth associations to promote the integrated development while consolidating mutual social assistance in order to meet primary needs of the local community.
Mr WASINGYA KYAVU Muhindo
Assistant Facilitator for Leadership Program
Wasingya graduated from Institut Superieur Pedagogique Muhangi in Butembo.He holds degree in the Business and Management .He has been working with many young people’s clubs and individuals to equip Congolese youth with entrepreneurship and leadership skills in order to become agents of change.He has extensive experience in the public service and this is how in 2008,he founded a literacy centre in Beni territory.
Mr KIZITO KINYERE
Human Rights Education Facilitator
Kizito graduated from Universite Catholique de Graben with Bachelor Degree in the Judicial Law. Throghout his career,he has mostly worked with organisations supporting democracy and education. In 2011, through collaboration with Comission Electorale Nationale Independante (CENI) he led by example and accepted to be the Butembo polling station secretary in order to promote the article 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights . In addition, he was also contacted by CENI to lead territorial election trainings in BUTEMBO city.He also worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation officer in the different programs supporting youth in the area of peace building.
KANYERE SIFA NICOLE
Communication Officer
Mrs Nicole Kanyere Sifa, is mainly VIGLOJ Communications officer. She graduated from Institut Superieur Emmanuel d’Alzon de Butembo with Bachelor degree in Information and Communication Sciences. Kanyere is also a Team Leader of YIP Amanikwetu, a peace education program club that saw birth after VIGLOJ community outreach efforts. She also worked as the facilitator in the leadership program that has built partnership with Congo Leadership Initiative.She was also team leader in LET Lubero program while specializing in the field of youth participation, peace consolidation process in the DRC. The program is named a ‘’ 3M program’’ (multi agency, multi organization, multi project) .Kanyere has extensive experience in the media industry:she is the founder of Youth Changemakers newspaper and has several times used this channel to inform the public about the VIGLOJ community impact. She was also Radio Salama reporter.Kanyere is happily married to Dunia Katembo Colomba, Founder and Executive Director of VIGLOJ;they live in the beautiful city of Butembo together with their five children.
Mlle KASOKI MUGHALA AGARE
Cashier
Miss Kasoki Mughala Agar manages different organization’s transactions and has also been in charge of logistics since 2015 up to now .She holds a diploma in the Social Development issued by Institut Kavaghendi.In addition, she is a human rights activist and young entrepreneur.
Mlle Alyne KAHINDO SIRIMWENYE
Project Manager
Miss Aline Kahindo Sirimwenge graduated from Institut Superieur Emmanuel d’Alzon de Butembo with diploma in the Rural Development.She participated in various training workshops in the field of integrated basic psycho-social care for victims of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). She also worked for Lutherian World Food as stock Manager.While working for this NGO,she championed successful campaigns and initiatives aimed at preventing Ebola spread.Kahindo worked as sensitization officer in the BMZ,a German project operating in Lubero territory from August 2016 until December 2016.Kahindo is also president of youth’s mutual fund and human rights activist,as well, through Young Patriot Club.
Mr KABULEMBO SHABANI PATIENT
Training Facilitator
Kabulembo Shabani Patient is Training Facilitator in the Human Rights Education program supported by Woven Teaching. This has started since 2016 and is mainly supported by Woven Teaching alongside with other international organizations.Shabani holds a diploma in the Company Development issued by Institut Superieur de Development Rural.He has extensively worked in the various primary and secondary schools from South Kivu province. He was also involved in the school guidance committee. When he moved to Butembo ,he went to teach at Loyola Institute; Shabani also worked for CEDAC / SUD KIVU, NRAS of NYABIBWE and Red Cross South Kivu.He uses local media especially Wikongo FM to educate Butembo citizens and beyond about VIGLOJ work with its relevance on the community impact.Shabani is a man of faith through the Eglise Universelle de Jesus Christ that has been preaching reconciliation among Butembo residents.
Mr KAMABALE PILI PILI Ombeni
Human Rights Education Supervisor
KAMBALE PILIPILI Ombeni coordinates different activities revolving around Human Rights Education module that focuses on the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Through his hard work and commitment, this program has been spreading a message of fighting all forms of discrimination in the DR Congo since 2017. In addition, he is also involved in the leadership mindset change and social entrepreneurship, supported by different genorous donors. He graduated from Institut Superieur du Commerce with diploma in the Management and Computer Sciences.
